Unlock HL7 Benefits: Membership, Access, and Discounts in Canada
Canadians can obtain HL7 Membership through Infoway, which coordinates the HL7 International Affiliate Agreement. Register for HL7 Canada Affiliate Membership via InfoCentral, or for HL7 International Access at HL7.org. For non-Canadians with Infoway Account, online registration is not available. Contact us to get started.
HL7 Membership is necessary for:
- Canadian implementers using HL7 materials in products (except HL7® FHIR® under Creative Commons)
- Those wishing to co-chair HL7 International Workgroups
- Receiving discounts on HL7 conferences, education, and certification. Contact us to receive a code to use when registering.
HL7 International Membership is NOT required for viewing and/or downloading HL7 content from InfoCentral.
Access is for one year, April 1 - March 31, renewable annually.

HL7 Canada Affiliate Access for Canadians with Infoway Account
Individual
- $100 CDN per fiscal year, plus applicable taxes
- Access to HL7 Localizations
- Participation in HL7 International ballots through the HL7 Canada Council
- Discount on HL7 conference fees, HL7 education and HL7 certification exams
- Required to be a co-chair of any of the HL7 International workgroups
Organization
- $500 CDN per fiscal year, plus applicable taxes
- Gives up to 5 HL7 Canada voting memberships per year
- Access to HL7 Localizations
- Participation in HL7 International ballots through hte HL7 Canada Council
- Provides access to discounts on HL7 conference fees, HL7 education and HL7 certification exams for an unlimited number of users at the member organization
- Required to be a co-chair of any of the HL7 International workgroups

Standards access is available at no charge. Fees are only collected for select HL7 materials and HL7 International privileges. This means that all SNOMED CT, LOINC and Infoway solutions such as InfoRMS, Terminology Gateway, Canadian FHIR Registry and others, are available at no cost.
