The International Organization for Standardization is an independent, non-governmental organization that creates standards for products, services, and systems through a worldwide federation of national standards bodies. The International Organization for Standardization / Technical Committee (ISO/TC) 215 is the global standards body for digital health and health informatics. It develops and maintains internationally recognized standards to ensure the coherent, consistent, and secure exchange of health data and information across healthcare systems.
